I don’t know about you guys but I’m a HUGE fan of chips and salsa. This delicious (and easy) dish makes an appearance at pretty much all of my family gatherings and celebrations. But since I do serve it so often, I decided that I needed to find a way to mix up the taste of this classic favorite.
When I think winter months I think cranberries so I decided to share a fun recipe with you for a delicious new salsa that you’re sure to love! By mixing cranberries, apples, onions and other favorite flavors, you’ll be able to create a new delicious family treat that everyone will beg for! Plus, with it’s bright color and visually appealing presentation, this delicious salsa will be the perfect fit for casual family gatherings and fancy events alike! So, are you ready to get started? What You Will Need:
1 Bag of Cranberries
1 Granny Smith Apple
1/8 of a Medium Red Onion
1⁄2 Large Red Pepper
1⁄4 Large Green Pepper
2 Tablespoons of Pickled Jalapeño
3 Tablespoons of Chopped Cilantro
1⁄2 Cup Sugar
1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
1/3 Cup of Apple Juice
How to Make It:
Start by chopping your apple, red onion, bell peppers and jalapeño into large pieces and place them into your food processor. Next, add your bag of cranberries to the food process as well.
Use your food processor to chop and combine all of the ingredients. Once the ingredients are prepared, move them to a bowl and add your sugar, lemon juice, apple juice and cilantro. Stir all your ingredients together gently and then refrigerate your salsa for approximately two hours to allow the flavors to combine.
Finally, serve your cranberry salsa with chips for a delicious and refreshing take on chips and salsa that is sure to please your tastebuds!
