Do It Yourself Easter Egg Centerpiece

Easter is only a little over a week away and in my home, we’re in full prep mode to get ready for all of our celebrations.  While I know what’s on the menu and I’ve got the Easter baskets ready, one thing my house is lacking is fun Easter decor.  It’s not that I haven’t been looking for something cute and creative.  I just haven’t found what I wanted.  So in true “me” fashion, I decided that if you can’t find it, make it!  Armed with an idea I set out to create a cute centerpiece that would make our celebration more festive!

What You Will Need:

Wooden Eggs in a Variety of Sizes

Paint

Adhesive Vinyl

Silhouette Cutting Machine

Wooden Base Piece (Any Board will Do)

Faux Easter Grass

How to Make It:

Start by painting all of your wooden pieces.  I went with a green for the bottom board so it would blend in with the grass and then bright colors for my Eggs, to make them feel festive.  Once all of your wooden pieces are painted, set them aside to dry.

While they are drying, cut your vinyl pieces on the Silhouette.  You can do circles, zig zag lines, bunnies or any other shape you want.  Once your shapes are cute out and your eggs are dry, stick your decorative pieces to the front of the eggs.

With your eggs ready, it’s time to assemble your centerpiece!  Start by adding hot glue to your base piece and sticking your faux grass directly onto it.

Then place your eggs on top, securing them with a generous amount of hot glue on the bottom.

Allow the hot glue to dry and you’re done!  Your Easter centerpiece is ready!

Now all that’s left to do is set it in a visible location and let everyone enjoy your fun and creative way to bring color to all your gatherings and celebrations!
