One of my goals in the new year is to eat breakfast. I know, I know….that should be a given. But I really struggle with it. Not only do I usually not have much time but I’m just not a huge fan of breakfast foods. So I’m trying to make some changes. And I’m making a conscious effort every morning to start my day with a breakfast that is not only good for me but that will give me the fuel I need to get through the day.
Since I know there are many of you out there who are like me and are struggling to make breakfast happen daily, I decided to share a quick and easy recipe with you that will have you looking forward to the first meal of the day! In only minutes you can whip up this delicious breakfast that is tasty, filling and absolutely fabulous! So are you ready to get started?
What You Will Need:
1⁄2 Cup of Quick Oats
1 Cup of Water
35 Strawberries, sliced
1⁄4 Cup of Blueberries
1 Tablespoon of Milled Flax Seed (optional)
Agave Syrup (to taste)
How to Make it:
Start by boiling your water and adding your quick oats.
Once your oats are added, lower your heat to medium and boil your mixture for one minute.
While the water is boiling, wash your fruit and slice your strawberries.
Once your oats are completely cooked, add them to a bowl, mix in your flax seed and agave syrup and top with your fruit!
And that’s it! You have an easy and delicious breakfast in minutes. Not only is this the perfect fuel to keep you going all day but it really is a delicious morning time treat that won’t feel like a chore to eat!
