I know, I know, today is St. Patrick’s Day! You’re thinking green. And clovers. But not me! I’m thinking Easter because today we are officially in the final countdown! This year I’ll admit I’ve been a little slack at getting my home ready for Spring and Easter celebrations. It just seems like things have snuck up on me so fast and I’m so unprepared! But I decided that today is the day to do something about that! Knowing that I don’t have tons of time (or a crazy amount of decorations) I decided that Simple Spring touches are the best! And what better way embrace the Spring and Easter spirit in your home than with an easy to make Spring Bunny Banner!
What You Will Need:
Hot Glue and Hot Glue Gun
Template Outline of Bunny and Egg
Craft Paint in Light Spring Color
Chipboard Letters that Spell Spring
How to Make It:
Start by painting your chipboard letters that spell Spring and setting them aside. Be sure to use enough paint to form a good cover over the letters.
Next, trace seven bunnies onto your decorative paper. The bunnies used in this craft are approximately eight inches tall. Once your bunnies are traced, repeat the process by tracing six eggs on your purple paper, ensuring that they are large enough to accommodate the Spring letters. Once all your pieces are traced, carefully cut them out.
Secure your dry chipboard pieces to your eggs using your hot glue gun and then lay your bunnies and eggs out in the order you want them in your banner. Starting at the first bunny, attach the twine to the back of each bunny and egg using a piece of tape. *Tip: Using tape on the back of your bunnies and eggs will allow you to easily make any needed adjustments after hanging your banner.
Once all of your pieces are attached to the piece of twine, leave a little length on each end and hang your cute Spring Bunny Banner.
And that’s it! You’ve got a cute and easy way to dress up your home for Spring and Easter that only took minutes to make!
