You guys, I’m really trying to stick with this cooking more at home thing but I’ll be honest, I get bored with the same old meals really easily. Now, I’m trying to incorporate new ideas but I’m also trying to give some of my old ideas a new twist to make them even tastier. Having a house full of boys it should come as no surprise to any of you that we eat hamburgers pretty often. But man, do I get tired of the same old burger. Because while a classic burger is oh-so-good good, I’ve been thinking for some time mixing things up and going outside the bun could make things super tasty!
Knowing my affinity for Mexican food, would it surprise you that I gave our burgers a Mexican twist for a bold new taste that the entire family loves? I thought not! Now, before you shake your head, get ready to try this Mexican Burger Wrap that is absolutely bursting with amazing flavor!
What You Will Need:
1 Pound of Lean Hamburger
1 Teaspoon of Garlic
Sun Dried Tomato Wraps
Guacamole (try this recipe)
How to Make It:
Start by adding your hamburger meat, garlic and cilantro to a large bowl. Combine your ingredients well and then form oblong patties that will fit into your wrap. Grill your patties on the grill until they are done to your liking.
Once your hamburger patties are ready, lay out all your ingredients. Start with your wrap and they add a layer of lettuce. Top the lettuce with your hamburger and then add corn salsa and guacamole to the top.
You can continue to add items like onion, cilantro and jalapenos if you would like or you can keep things simple. Once all your ingredients are added, fold the bottom of your wrap up and then roll each side in.
Now all that’s left to do is enjoy a flavorful twist on traditional burgers that will have ou coming back time and time again!
