Can ya’ll believe it’s finally feeling like Spring. I am SO glad that the weather is warming up and we’re finally getting some amazing looking fruits in our grocery store. Each time I go shopping, I stuff my basket full so that I can come home and create amazing fruit filled treats. While most of my creations take a bit of time, the other day I discovered that putting something warm, fruity and delicious on the table can be super simple! In fact, it only takes three simple ingredients! Want to know more? Sure you do because you HAVE to try this simple recipe out!
What You Will Need:
1 Cup of Washed Blueberries
1 Box of White Cake Mix
1/2 Stick of Butter
How to Make It:
This easy cobbler is based on the idea of a “dump” cake. So start by adding a handful of blueberries to the bottom of each of four ramekins. Then pour cake mix over the top of them until they have an thin covering.
Next, sprinkle one teaspoon of butter evenly over the top of the cake mix.
Repeat the process again with another layer of blueberries, cake mix and butter. Your ramekin will be about 3/4 of the way full at this point.
Place your prepared ramekins in a preheated over and bake them at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until they are golden brown on the top. Then remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for about five minutes. While they are still warm, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to the top.
Let the ice cream melt until it is slightly creamy and the top your simple yet delicious dish with a few fresh blueberries.
Then all that’s left to do is serve this warm delicious treat! The mixture of cake mix and butter forms a delicious crust and the blueberries cook to perfection for a mixture of flavors that you just can’t get enough of!
So save tons of time and enjoy this quick and easy treat all Spring and Summer long!
