Ghostly Good Halloween Parfait Recipe

Halloween is just around the corner and that means it’s time to seriously start thinking about candy.  I’ll be honest and say in my home, we’re pretty particular about our sweets.  And while you’ll be hard pressed to find a member of my family who will turn down sweets of any kind, we all love it even more when we can transform a favorite sweet treat into something a little spooky.

Since simple is always best in my home, I recently decided to make dessert the scariest time of the day with a Ghostly Good Halloween Parfait!  Now, I’ll say honestly that parfaits are one of my favorite desserts because they are so easy to make!  And by adding Halloween shaped PEEPS® to the top of this family treat, I was able to really transform it into a spooky end to any meal.

To start with, I created my parfaits.  Now there are so many ways you can do this.  You can use ice cream, yogurt, pudding and more.  Then just get creative.  I added a layer of crunch (graham crackers or cookies are perfect for the crunchy layer).  Once I had created my layers, I continued this pattern until my glass was completely full.

Next, I pulled out my Halloween themed PEEPS®!  In our home these are such a big deal!  Because where in the past we’ve though Easter was the only time to pull out the PEEPS®, now there are a variety of shapes just for this spooktacular time of year.

I placed my Halloween themed PEEPS® into the top of my parfait and pushed it gently down, ensuring that it stands upright.

I decided to get creative, mix up ghosts and pumpkins and even add some different colors to my parfaits.  Because the great thing was that with PEEPS® and a delicious Parfait I knew I couldn’t go wrong!

With my Ghostly Good Parfaits finished, it was time to enjoy some sweet Halloween fun.
