Growing up in the South, BBQ is as much a part of my life as sweet tea, pearls and saying ya’ll. It’s just something we’ve always made. And always enjoyed. So when Bear Paws challenged me to make BBQ even easier with their help of their amazing shreding tools as part of a sponsored blog post, I took them up on it and discovered the best (and easiest) slow cooker BBQ recipe ever!
For years now, I’ve been making BBQ the hard way…..trying to shred it with oversized forks and making a big old mess in general. I didn’t know there was a better (and easier) way. I just thought this was how BBQ was made. But recently, all that changed when I discovered that making mouthwatering Southern style BBQ is easier than I could have ever dreamed. Trust me when I say, this is one recipe you won’t want to miss!
Changing up my BBQ started with the receipt of my new Bear Paws tool. In all honesty, I had never really even questioned if there was a better way to make BBQ. I had just gone along and done things the way my mama did them and thought that was that. But with the introduction of Bear Paws into my life, making the best (and easiest) BBQ became a snap!
What You Will Need:
3 Pounds of Pork Tenderlion
2 Tablespoons of Liquid Smoke
1/4 Cup of Rice Wine Vinegar
1/2 Cup of Water
2 Tablespoon of Minced Garlic
How to Make It:
I started by using my standard BBQ recipe and placing my pork loins in my slow cooker. Next, I poured my Liquid Smoke over the top and spread on my minced garlic.
After pouring in my vinegar and water so that they covered the bottom of my slow cooker and created a “bath” for the pork tenderloins to cook in, I put the top on my slow cooked and let it cook on low for six hours.
I went on about my day, smelling the amazing smells that wafted out of the kitchen. Then when it was time to prepare dinner, I took off the top, pulled out my perfectly cooked pork tenderloins and prepared to turn them into BBQ.
Within seconds my pork tenderlions were sliced and diced with the Bear Paws, turning my meat into perfectly pulled BBQ.
After just a few flips of the wrist, I was ready to assemble our family favorite, BBQ sandwiches. I took my perfectly pulled BBQ that had been made super simple thanks to the Bear Paws and placed it on a fresh bun.
Next, I topped my sandwich with homemade BBQ sauce and fresh slaw. Within mere minutes of opening my slow cooker, I had a meal prepared that was a true Southern delight!
Never in my thirty-some years of Southern living had I dreamed that perfectly shredded BBQ could be so easy! And never in the years I have left will I attempt making this family favorite dish without my trusted new Bear Paws.
