He may be small, but he knows how to dream big.
From the moment his eyes greet the sun in the morning till the minute he goes to bed at night, the world is waiting for him to explore it. His life is one big adventure waiting to happen. And every new day is a chance for him to see the world in a fresh and amazing way.
He has no fear of failure; no insecurities when it comes to his own success. He only sees possibilities of what’s to come and who he can be. He tackles each task in front of him with determination and drive. And when he succeeds, oh, what a sight it is to see.
His enthusiasm for life is contagious and each day, his dreams make me want to be a better mom. A better person. A better guide throughout his amazing journey. Because I know that while his dreams are only matched by my own dreams for him, the task of nourishing possibility and bringing those dreams to life each and every day falls to me.
So I work harder. I find ways to bring his dreams to life. And I encourage him to dream bigger, live larger and never, ever settle. I tell him to reach for the moon because even if he misses, he’ll still be dancing in the stars. I try to show him every day that nothing in this world is out of his reach and the only thing that will ever hold him back is doubt. Because he’s strong. He’s amazing. And for the rest of his life, I’ll tell him there is nothing he cannot achieve.
And then, once those words are said, I show him that dreaming big doesn’t stop in his head. I make pillow forts where we have wild west adventures. I tie capes to his back and take my place as the perfect sidekick while he saves the world.
I help him put out fires and score game winning goals. Because through these adventures, I’ve learned that for a him, I don’t have to be fancy or perfect. I don’t have to have the best art skills or create the most amazing scenarios. I just have to encourage him and help him bring the amazing adventures in his head to life.
Because each time he does, he dreams bigger. And all of a sudden, he’s no longer sitting in our living room but is instead the captain on a ship racing into space. Or the chef whipping up world famous creations. Or a musician stringing the perfect set of notes together.
As he dreams these dreams and as his imagination takes his adventures to new heights, there is nothing that can stop him. Instead he’s conquering worlds and seeing the possibilities of a life that for him has only just begun. So while I may only see an empty field or an oversized rock, I’ll travel through his imagination and let him transform them for me into a sprawling dessert waiting to be discovered or a timeless treasure waiting to be unearthed. And as he does, I’ll make sure I’m nourishing possibility and helping his dreams come to life in a way that he will never forget.
Because that’s my job. As his mom and his biggest supporter, I want nothing more than a life of possibilities for him. So I roll in the dirt. I play harder. I image more. And I make sure that he has the fuel to bring all his dreams to life with the help of Nesquik.
With Nesquik Chocolate Powder and Ready to Drink options, I can provide him with the vitamins he needs to make everyday a bigger adventure. I can give him iron and calcium in a form he loves to ensure that his growing little body is just as strong as the one in his dreams. And I can ensure one drink at a time that he’s growing strong bones so that each and every day we can embark on the journey of making his dreams into a reality.
But I’ve recently discovered that I don’t have to stop with just serving his favorite chocolate milk! In fact, I’m nourishing his possibility to become a world famous chef one day by allowing him to cook with me. And recently we created hot chocolate pancakes made with Nesquik that are so amazing and perfect for fueling his day.
What You Will Need:
2 Tablespoons of Butter
1 Large Egg
1 Cup of Nesquik Ready-to-Drink Chocolate Milk
1 Cup of Flour
1/2 Cup of Nesquik Chocolate Powder
1/4 Cup of Chocolate Pudding
Marshmallows, Whipped Cream and Chocolate Sauce for Topping
How to Make Them:
These easy to make hot chocolate pancakes started by us wanting to add Nesquik to our classic pancake recipe in the place of regular milk. From there, the creation just grew! We simply added our softened butter, egg and ready-to-drink Nesquik to a mixer and blended it together well. Then we added in our Nesquik powder, flour and pudding and blended it all together to form our batter. Once our batter was ready, we cooked our panckaes on the griddle for about three minutes on each side until they were done and then placed them on a dish, covered them with chocolate syrup, whipped cream and marshmallows and we had a perfect morning treat!
While it’s not something I serve everyday, it’s a perfect occasional treat that gets him excited about the day that is to come while giving him a breakfast he absolutely loves! And with each and every bite, I can see him delight growing and his confidence increasing as he sees what an amazing dish he helped to created! It’s through little things like this that I see him accomplishing his dreams and beginning to discover who he wants to be.
Through simple activities like this, I can continue to help him dream bigger and bring to life a world where he can truly conquer anything. I can make everyday a new adventure that reinforces that there is nothing he cannot achieve. And I can travel along beside him as he daily sees the world as a place where he can explore, discover and bring his wildest dreams to life.
I know this time where he feels he can do anything, be anything and accomplish anything won’t last forever. But I’ll make sure that by nourishing possibility, I give him a world where if he can conceive it, he can achieve it for as long as possible. Because who knows? These dreams he’s chasing today could very well be his life of tomorrow.
Then tell me, how are you nourishing possibility in your children?
