The month of April has seemed to zoom by which means that May is on it’s way and it time to start thinking about ways to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! Now in my mind, any day is a great day to pull out tacos, burritos and taquitos but what really takes Cinco de Mayo over the top in my home is fun drinks that the whole family can enjoy. So, as I prepped for our celebration this year I tried to come up with a drink that would feel festive, taste delicious and thrill the kids and adults alike. And the end result? Well, this Virgin Mango Margarita is a festive drink that you won’t want to miss!
What You Will Need:
(Makes 2 Large Margaritas)
1 Large Mango (Cubed)
1/2 Cup of Orange Juice
1/2 Cup of Seltzer Water
1 Cup of Ice
How to Make It:
This fruity (and alcohol-free) twist on a perfect Cinco de Mayo drink is actually super simple to make! To start, I simply added my mango cubes, lime juice, orange juice, seltzer water and ice to a blender.
Next I used the lender to crush my ice and create a slushy consistency with my ingredients.
Once my virgin mango margarita was ready, I cut open a lime and wiped it around the rim of my glass and then dipped my glass in margarita salt (this is seriously my favorite part of a margarita and it pairs so well with the flavors of the fruit).
After garnishing my glasses with a lime wedge, I was ready to pour in my deliciously refreshing beverage.
After pouring my virgin mango margarita mix into the middle of my glasses so that I didn’t mess up my salt garnish, they were perfectly prepared and ready to serve.
Instantly, I had a drink that everyone in the family can enjoy and that perfectly compliments the delicious Mexican themed meal I plan to prepare for Cinco de Mayo.
No matter how you celebrate this fun day, I encourage you to raise your glass and enjoy a delicious drink that is sure to have everyone in your family saying olé!
