There are few things in this world that my family loves more than a good burger; the kind that you just can’t wait to sink your teeth into as the flavors explode in your mouth. As I’m sure you can tell, we’re what you might call burger connoisseurs in our home so it goes without saying that we’ve tried every type of burger available. And while in the past, I’ve always thought creating my own patties was the way to go, I recently discovered that the best burgers are also the easiest burgers to make with Ball Park® Steakhouse Burgers at my local Walmart. As the perfect starting point for my family-favorite Surf and Turf Burgers creation, they have quickly become a staple in our home.
Now, my family has been familiar with the Ball Park brand for many years. In fact, they’ve been a go-to for us when creating amazing meals. So when I recently discovered that they have pre-made, frozen patties available in the freezer aisle at Walmart, of course I snatched a bag up (or two).
After all, I knew that beating the convenience and ease of Ball Park products is impossible and I had an idea in mind that would bring my boys running to the table while presenting a steakhouse twist on a classic burger.
What You Will Need:
1 Package of Ball Park Steakhouse Burgers
1 Teaspoon of Butter
1/2 Pound of Lump Crab Meat
Fresh Burger Buns
3/4 Cup of Mayonnaise
1/4 Cup of Creole Mustard
1 Teaspoon of Smoked Paprika
1 Tablespoon of Creole Seasoning
1 Teaspoon of Horseradish
1 Teaspoon of Pickle Juice
1/2 Teaspoon of Hot Sauce
1/2 Teaspoon of Minced Garlic
How to Make It:
These Surf and Turf Burgers are so simple to make and are inspired by the classic steakhouse meal that my husband loves so much. As soon as I discovered the convenience and taste of the Ball Park Steakhouse All Natural Burger made with 100% natural beef, I knew it would be the perfect way to make this meal amazing. To start, I whipped up some easy to make remoulade sauce by adding my mayonnaise, creole mustard, paprika, creole seasoning, horseradish, pickle juice, hot sauce and minced garlic to a bowl.
After stirring it together well, I placed it in a container and set it in the fridge (seriously, this is a great topping for any burger creation so I always whip up plenty to have on hand). Once my remoulade sauce was ready, it was a few simple steps to burger perfection. I quickly pulled my Ball Park Steakhouse Burgers out of the freezer and headed out to the grill. I have to say that the fact that there was no thawing or mixing required was totally awesome in my book! It allowed me to be grill-ready in less than 30 seconds.
After firing up the grill, I pulled my frozen Ball Park Steakhouse Burger patties out of the bag (each bag contains four patties) and placed them directly onto my hot grill.
With the ability to grill my Ball Park Steakhouse Burger patties from frozen, I knew my meal was going to be simply amazing and super-fast! While my burgers grilled for about four minutes on each side, I quickly added my butter and my jumbo lump crab meat to a sauté pan over medium heat and cooked it just long enough to warm the crab.
My crab meat and Ball Park burgers were both ready in record time and I loved the fact that I had a delicious burger on hand that was perfect as the base for these mouthwatering Surf and Turf Burgers.
Once my burgers were ready, assembly of my Surf and Turf Burgers took only seconds. I started by slicing my bun and placing my perfectly cooked Ball Park Steakhouse Burger patty on it.
Next, I added a generous amount of my crab meat – the surf part of this delicious creation.
Finally, I squirted my remoulade sauce over the top for a finished burger that boasted big flavors presented in a simple and convenient form.
After adding the top to my bun and pairing my Surf and Turf Burgers with a side of edamame, I had a meal that took less than fifteen minutes to create while still boasting amazing flavors that reminded us of steakhouse cuisine.
With the delicious flavor that only Ball Park can deliver in each and every bite, these Surf and Turf Burgers boast the taste of a high quality patty paired perfectly with seafood and a creamy sauce to pull it all together.
Honestly, to say it’s a family favorite is an understatement and the only thing better than how delicious it tastes is how easy these Surf and Turf Burgers are to make thanks to always having Ball Park Steakhouse Burgers from Walmart on hand in my freezer!
