With school starting back in a little over a month, my brain is focused on learning. While my oldest son is zooming through his summer reading and brushing up on his skills for high school, on the other end of things my littlest is also preparing to head to school. For him, school will be changing quite a bit this year with the games and fun of preschool being replaced with letters, numbers and measurable skills. Because I want to ensure that he’s sharp and ready for all the new skills he’ll be learning this year, I’ve been turning to our electronic devices for refresher courses. In the process, I’ve discovered that with Zap Zap Kindergarten Math, learning basic common core math is an adventure that my little guy just can’t get enough of!
As a mom of a boy, I know what a challenge getting a child to sit down and focus on math skills can be. My little guy is here, there and everywhere and to be honest, getting him to sit still for long enough to learn basic math can be a challenge. However, in the theme of summer fun, we’ve found the perfect way to turn math into an awesome adventure that he can’t get enough of with help from Zap Zap Kindergarten Math! This app that is available on iOS and Google Play takes the one thing that’s sometimes missing from learning – FUN – and puts it as the focus of this amazing app that is a Gamified Learning Ecosystem designed by experienced teachers, parents and gamers.
Previously designed for grades 1-6, Zap Zap Math recently launched this new mobile-first application that is built around educational math grades specifically for Kindergarten! By allowing kids to solve math problems through a series of fun math puzzles that mirror the US Common Core Standards, they’ve taken basic concepts and presented them in a way that little minds just can’t get enough of!
In addition to providing challenging and fun math puzzles that makes learning fun for kids, Zap Zap Kindergarten Math scales and tracks performance as my child interacts with each math problem. I can then keep track of his progress using the user-friendly Web Dashboard that is accessible via my web browser and gives me a detailed report on the overall progress of my son as well as a breakdown so I can identify what areas he needs help in! I can even share the results with his teachers to ensure they know where he’s excelling and where he’s struggling!
With focus areas in number recognition, plus and minus and shape and measurement, each time my son opens the Zap Zap Math Kindergarten app, he’s met with new challenges and new fun. By presenting these problems in a FUN way, the adventure never ends and learning never gets old. In fact, we’ve downloaded it on all our mobile devices because I just love seeing him learn both at home and on the go and it’s not uncommon at all for him to reach for Zap Zap Kindergarten Math any time he wants to have fun!
As we prepare for the school year, I’m not longer worried that my little guy will struggle in math. In fact, I’m watching him excel and learn new skills each and every day with Zap Zap Kindergarten Math! And the best part is, he thinks he’s just playing his new favorite game! Gone are the days of begging him to complete worksheets and here to stay is the interactive learning of Zap Zap Kindergarten Math!

My son would love this app! I would too. Fun and educational.
This app is pretty cool! Do they have one for Algrabra?
They have various levels that go through 6th grade so I would check it out and see if what they have fits your needs.
It is so cool that they have math apps and games now that make learning math easier than it was when I was in school. To be honest, at 36 years old, I still do not have a grasp on many basic math concepts, and am thankful for the invention of the calculator. Math was so boring and hard to grasp when I was in school, had we had games like this, I’m sure I would have enjoyed it more.

I like seeing products that encourage learning. Being an app this makes it convenient to study while waiting at places like the doctor’s office.

It sure is easier to get kids to do math and reading when the learning is actually fun. Makes them forget they are actually learning.
What a great game! I need to check this out for my daughter!
What a great way to get kids excited to learn!! I think it’s so important from a young age to instill these tendencies on kids, so this is great – no better way to get them involved like using technology that they already use!
Love this, if they’re gonna play on the phone at least they need to be learning! Saving and sharing!
How cute and adorable! I love apps that would be both educational and fun for the kids! And your son seem super excited about it.

I am so glad that apps are available for kiddos these days. These ones about learning are so totally worth it. Will have to get this one.
This seems like a great game! I actually have a kindergartner and first grader and they of course like to play games on phones and tablets. Having something they learn from too it a great thing!
I’m totally grabbing this app for my daughter. She’s a 1st grader, but she would find it this totally fun.
