First, I checked my list to see what items I could save on by shopping at Publix! Then I headed to the store, filled my cart with deliciousness, and headed home to whip up Sweet and Spicy Meatballs and Game Day Spinach Dip!
Using my fabulously priced products from Publix that I purchased as part of the Game Day Savings promotion, I was able to whip up these finger foods that had all my guests cheering!
Sweet and Spicy Meatballs
What You Will Need
1 Bag of Cooked Perfect Meatballs 20–32 oz.
1/2 Cup of Apricot Jelly
1 Tablespoon of Soy Sauce
1 Tablespoon of Tabanero All Natural & Gluten Free HOT SAUCE
Green Onions (for Garnish)
Football Picks
How to Make It
This easy game day treat of Sweet and Spicy Meatballs is always impressive and by using Cooked Perfect Meatballs that are already made and ready to be cooked to perfection, it only takes a few minutes to whip this dish up! To start, I preheated my oven and warmed up my Cooked Perfect Meatballs according to the directions on the package.
Once they were cooked to perfection, I removed them from the oven and added my apricot jelly, soy sauce and Tabanero HOT SAUCE to a bowl and stirred it all together well. As soon as the ingredients were combined, I added my cooked meatballs a few at a time and rolled them in my deliciously simple glaze.
With my Sweet and Spicy Meatballs covered with the glaze, I used my football picks to spear them and transfer them to a serving platter.
Finally, I sprinkled my green onions over the top and in just minutes, I had a game day finger food that was really a winner!
With my Sweet and Spicy Meatballs whipped up, I moved on to my next dish. While everyone loves food on a stick for game day, everyone also loves something delicious to dip and I knew that I could create just that with my Game Day Spinach Dip served with Keebler® Townhouse® Crackers!
Game Day Spinach Dip
What You Will Need
1 Box of Keebler® Townhouse® Crackers
2 Packages of Frozen Chopped Spinach
1 Cup of Mayonnaise
16 Ounces of Light Cream Cheese
5 Ounces of Diced Water Chestnuts
1 Packet of Vegetable Dip Seasoning
How to Make It
This is another game day dish that can be whipped up quickly and gets everyone cheering (plus it’s easy to pack up and take on the go if you’re heading out to a homegating party or even better, going to the stadium). To start my Game Day Spinach Dip, I added my mayonnaise, sour cream, water chestnuts and cooked and drained spinach to a bowl and poured my seasoning on top of it.
After simply mixing it all together, I filled a football themed bowl with the dip and spread my crackers around it.
Onto the table went my Game Day Spinach Dip along with my Sweet and Spicy Meatballs for a spread that was truly game day worthy and hadn’t taken long to create or been expensive to make!
You see, in addition to the fact that my game day recipes like my Sweet and Spicy Meatballs and Game Day Spinach Dip are simple to make and require minimal ingredients, the fact that they were inspired by the Game Day Savings Promotion at Publix means that I’m able to save on the ingredients while whipping up the best game day snacks around!

I am very excited that our town is currently in the middle of building a Publix!! Spinach dip is one of my favorites but those meatballs look absolutely delicious. I am a “sweet+savory” kind of gal and they give you the best of both. I may have to try that spinach dip!
This is such an awesome game day appetizer! I love it! I’ve made honey barbecue meatballs before. I’m going to have to try this version though! I’m so disappointed though that none of our teams are in the Super Bowl this year.
Everyone is getting ready for the big game. Interesting to see all the different recipes and what everyone is making to serve.
These are great options for game day! I love how quick and easy they are to make!
A perfect snack idea for this weekend’s playoff games. I love the combination of sweet and spicy.
I have not tried a spinach dip before but this looks absolutely delicious especially to go with the meatballs.
What a great party setup you have! Those meatballs are so cute, and I love what you did with the football themed picks and scallions sprinkled on top. The dip and crackers sound so good too, those crackers always disappear when my kids find them..
All of these dishes look amazing. I will definitely have to try making some of them for the Super Bowl.
Those meatballs look amazing. Thank you for sharing the recipe.
Those meatballs look absolutely incredible. I wish we were more of a sports family because I’d love to make these, and that dip for game days. What a great way to celebrate and enjoy a game and some delicious food!
Those meatball snacks are a perfect appetizer! They are fairly simple and everyone always love meatballs!
I cant believe it’s almost Superbowl time! Meatballs are always on our game day menu.
I love game day snacks! These meatballs look absolutely fantastic and easy to make. I love that you added apricot jelly. The football picks are too cute too!
Amazing game day appetizers there and a great recipe. I liked that you used apricot jelly as a sweetener instead of honey.
