This year I’m going things differently though and cooking smarter, with easy recipes that work well in a pinch and deliver tons of flavor that are always a hit….like my super easy 20 Minute Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas!
Pretty much everyone loves fajitas with their amazing flavor and mixture of meat and veggies. However, generally to get really good fajitas you have to marinate and chop and spent quite a bit of time in the kitchen…until now! Now, I’ve found the easiest way every to make really mouth-watering 20 Minute Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas! It’s a quick and easy recipe that you’re going to want to try!
What You Will Need
2 Pounds of Chicken (Sliced into Strips)
6 Bell Peppers (Sliced)
2 Large Sweet Onions (Sliced)
1 Packet (1.12 ounces) of Fajitas Seasoning
2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
10-12 Whole Wheat Tortillas
Sour Cream, Cheese and Guacamole for Topping
How to Make It
*Kitchen Hack: You can buy pre-sliced onions and peppers at most grocery stores which truly make this dish a breeze to whip up!* To start my 20 Minute Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas, I added my chicken, peppers and onion to a large bowl.
Now, most often fajitas are seasoned for hours but you don’t have to do that to get amazing flavor! Once I’ve added my chicken and veggies to my bowl, I simply open a pouch of fajitas seasoning and pour it and my olive oil over the top.
After a good stir to ensure that all of my chicken and veggies are covered in oil and seasoning, I pour them onto an aluminum foil lined fan and spread them out evenly.
Into the oven my 20 Minute Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas go on 400 degrees for just 20 short minutes (hince the name!). Seriously, I thought there was no way this pan of food would cook in 20 minutes but it works just right! Then chicken comes out still juicy and the veggies are cooked but crisp….just perfect for making fajitas!
Once my 20 Minute Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas are cooked to perfection, all that’s needed to turn them into a meal are some whole wheat tortillas and toppings. I simply dip my meat and veggies onto my tortilla shells until I have the desired amount on each one.
Then I allow everyone in my family to add the toppings they want, like sour cream, shredded cheese, guacamole and more! In just minutes we have a perfect meal that’s always sure to satisfy and that’s great for nights when time is short or sports run long!
