Last week, I shared with all of you that I’m on a mission to lose weight, get back in shape and feel better about myself in general. As part of this mission, I’ve embarked on a 90 day challenge to not only transform myself but to also make self-care a priority again. While for me, this transformation includes many different aspects, one of the most important areas for measurable results is of course in how much weight I loose. Knowing that I needed a simple way to loose weight that fits in with my busy lifestyle, I researched my options. I compared plans based on the things that are most important to me. At the end of all my research, I was sold on Personal Trainer Food so needless to say, when they agreed to support my journey and supply me with three months of food as part of my 90 day challenge I was thrilled. Now that I’ve been using Personal Trainer Food for a full week, I wanted to share some of my initial thoughts with you. Before we get into some basic information (and of course my week one results), I want to mention that you should always consult your physician before starting a weight loss and exercise plan. What Is Personal Trainer Food?

Do You Have to Start with a Fast?
Once I had placed my order for Personal Trainer Food, I was encouraged to start a 24 or 48 hour fast while I waited for my food to arrive. Now, I know, my first reaction was that’s a long time without food and this chunky monkey can’t do it! But since I’m a good sport and really wanted to make the most of the program I decided to give it a try and lo and behold, I made it the whole 48 hours. During the fast I was able to drink as much water as a wanted (I also added in black coffee cause mama needed some energy) and enjoy sugar free jello and broth. In truth, the first day of the fast sucked! I tried to stay busy but I had a headache and just felt kinda blah. Come to find out that was my body detoxing from all the crap I’ve been putting in it lately. When I went to bed the first night, I didn’t think I would do day two but when I woke up the next morning, I actually felt better than I had in a while. While I was still tired, I didn’t feel sluggish like I had been for weeks. So, I stuck it out and went the full 48 hours and for me, it was totally worth it. I did eat prepare a can of broth to sip on each day and I had one sugar free jello cup a day but besides that, it was me and my water bottle. Whether you do 24 or 48 hours, I do highly recommend making the most of this fast as it’s a great way to detox your body and prepare it for efficient weight loss.
What Will I Be Eating?
This is the question you really want answered right? After all, most of us who need to drop a few pounds love our food. The good news is, the food on Personal Trainer Food is really good! I was able to select my menu from a list of breakfasts, veggie blends and proteins and the selection is actually pretty awesome. Most days, I start the day with an omelet and sausage. There are a variety of omelets with different fillings to keep things interesting.
For lunch, I get a veggie packet and protein. There are options like the Dill Chicken Bites, Monterrey Jack Chicken Strips and Apple and Gouda Juicy Sausage (these are just a few of my favs…seriously the options are amazing). With the portions already pre-determined so that all I have to do is pop my meal in the microwave, I’m able to prepare a delicious and filling lunch in minutes (less than 4 minutes to be exact).
At dinner time, I repeat the process from lunch and again am able to select a veggie and a protein that are already pre-portioned and perfectly flavored.
I am going to tell you right off…this is the BEST diet food I’ve ever eaten. I actually look forward to meal times and love the flavor of the food. With all the different options, the selection never gets old and I’m always satisfied after eating. In fact, some of the dishes are so good I’ve had to make the fam try them just because I know they won’t believe that I’m eating so well and still losing weight! At the end of each meal, I’m totally full and have actually noticed that I’m not getting hungry at all during the day anymore.
What Are the Results?
Now that you know I’m not suffering when it comes to meal time, I’m sure you’re wondering if there are actual real results and the answer is YES! I made a promise to myself not to step on the scale until day 28 (when I’m through my first box) but just to prove to you guys how well Personal Trainer Food Works, I had to break my rule. Know that I won’t do this again and I won’t share my weight loss numbers again until I’m through the first month but I just had to tell you guys how much of a different ONE WEEK of Personal Trainer Food has made. So, it’s been said that the proof is in then numbers and here are my losses for my first week of Personal Trainer Food.
How Much Did I Lose in 1 Week?
Weight Loss: 10 Pounds (it’s actually 9.8 but we’re saying 10 m’kay?)
Inches Lost: 3 and 1/4 (1/2 Inch Lost from Each Thigh, 1/2 Inch Lost from My Hips, 1/4 Inch Lost from My Waist, 1/4 Inch Lost from My Bust, 1/2 Inch Lost from Each Arm)
While I know that some of this is water weigh and my first week’s loss will likely be more dramatic than any other week, isn’t this amazing? I’m seriously blown away by my first week’s results and completely motivated to keep going.
