For me, December is all about holiday traditions. It’s filled with wrapping presents, time spent with family, decorating the tree and cuddling up in front of my favorite Hallmark Channel movies. There’s truthfully not a day of December that passes when the anticipation of the coming celebration doesn’t build and when I don’t find myself humming Christmas carols and getting into the spirit of the season. While much of my family celebrations revolve around holiday traditions, it’s perhaps my own tradition of watching Hallmark Channel Christmas movies that I most adore. That’s why I’m so excited to share with you that we’re not only smack in the middle of 24 new original movies premiering on Hallmark Channel as part of the #CountdownToChristmas but that there’s still time to be part of these festive premieres and snag a little holiday spirit for yourself! You see, while I’ve been enjoying Hallmark Channel Christmas movies all month long, I’m the most excited about the original premiere of “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas” on Sunday, December 22nd at 9pm/7c!
While I’ve yet to watch a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie that I didn’t adore, I think this one is going to be really special ya’ll! In addition to the fact that I’ll be live-tweeting along with it to share in all the fun, it’s premiering the Sunday night before Christmas. That means if you’re anything like me, your home will be decorated, your Christmas shopping will be done and you’ll be ready to sit back and enjoy this cute holiday movie that promises to put everyone in the holiday spirit.
Now, I hope you got excited by watching the trailer above for “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas” that’s premiering on Hallmark Channel this Sunday, December 22nd at 8pm/7c because I’ve gotten a little sneak preview and let me tell you, it’s adorable! Stars Eric Mabius and Tricia Helfer bring this Christmas must-watch movie to life as they play mayors of neighboring New Hampshire towns. As the holidays approach, they are both determined that their town will be the winner of the annual statewide “Christmas Spirit Competition” but as we all know, the best laid plans always run into twist and turns and, on Hallmark Channel, love! As both towns advance into the contest’s final round, the mayors decide to work together and collaborate on a celebration that shows what Christmas really means to their communities. You’ll have to watch the movie with me on December 22nd at 8pm/7c to find out what happens but I can guarantee that along with the holiday spirit, both mayors will discover their own holiday miracle as they fall in love.
This movie was so sweet to me since my husband and I have our own special holiday love story. You see, we wanted more than anything to get married at Christmas time and we did! With poinsettias lining the church aisles and garland draped here there and everywhere, we said “I do” thirteen years ago during the Christmas season. So, it just makes sense that my heart swells when I see Christmas love stories because it makes me remember my own.
While I’m gonna personally tell you that you can’t miss the original premiere of “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas” on Sunday, December 22nd at 8pm/7c on Hallmark Channel, I’ve also gotta share that Hallmark Channel has a lot more cheer to spread between now and Christmas day next week. In fact, you can check out all 40 holiday movies all season long on Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries!

I have to make sure to check out Hallmark Movies. I can’t wait to see some of them this weekend with my family.
My family’s favorite holiday tradition is to buy gifts for those in foster care and the elderly in nursing homes. After shopping for gifts we always watch a new hallmark movie!
Every year we set aside a day in December to make a gingerbread house either from scratch or one bought from the store.
First off, that wedding photo of you both is absolutely amazing! Second, I love this countdown to Christmas movies via Hallmark. They’re the best!
It sounds like they have some amazing movies in their rundown to Christmas – I’m not sure if we get Hallmark over here but I am going to go and have a look now as I would love to join in the watch fest!

Christmas movies have kept me in the holiday spirit during this time. My husbands mother passed away and the funeral is tomorrow. Thank goodness for this!!
I am so behind on watching holiday movies. This sounds like a good one, thanks for the list too!
My daughters love Hallmark movies and they have been watching a lot of them. I lean more towards action movies but I am glad they like to watch them together. During the holy we like to watch Home Alone then drive around to see all the lights.

We love going to our local tree farm to find our perfect Christmas tree every year. Then at the end of the year my husband cuts a slice of the trunk off and then makes an ornament to put on our trees for years to come. He cuts out a design or symbol along with the year on the slice of trunk so it is so fun to have pieces of our trees from years past on our tree every year.
