It’s no secret that I’m all about rustic wood crafts. Every season, I love to whip up something unique. Living in what most would consider the country, I feel like I’m inspired to create wood crafts every time I look outside my window. In the past I’ve made Rustic Wooden Plate Chargers, Rustic Wooden Flower Planters, Rustic Wooden Coasters and even a Rustic Wooden Bunny that’s perfect for Easter! So, it only made sense to make a Rustic Wooden Poinsettia Ornament for the holiday season. Read on to learn how to make this simple craft.
Wood crafts are one of my favorite things ever because, well, I live in an endless supply of supplies however I think it’s important to note that you don’t have to live in the woods like I do to give your Christmas tree a touch of rustic elegance with these Rustic Wooden Poinsettia Ornaments. If you do happen to live in the woods, you can easily find a limb that’s about three inches thick and cut your own wooden slices. If you choose to go this route, simple drill a hold into the top and add some twine to create a hanger. However, for your city folks, never fear because you can simply pick up your wooden slice pieces that are already drilled and have a twine hanger here. However, I HIGHLY recommend going the DIY version of this craft is possible. No matter which option you choose, once you’ve got your wooden ornament ready for decoration, transforming it is as easy as attaching some 3D poinsettia stickers (try the ones found here) with a little bit of hot glue. Let me show you exactly how simple it is now that we’ve got the creation (or purchase) of materials out of the way.
Once you’re made (or bought) your wood discs, bringing this Rustic Wooden Poinsettia Ornament together is as simple as gluing on a sticker and having your masterpiece.
The really fun part about this is that you can do ornaments that all look the same or mix things up by adding poinsettias to some, trees to some and even snowmen to some! Regardless of how simple you keep it or how creative you get, in the end you’re guaranteed an beautiful yet simple ornament that will bring a rustic touch of elegance to your tree.
With Christmas less than two weeks away, be sure to whip up a Rustic Wooden Poinsettia Ornament today to hang on your tree!

I love this idea. It’s such a cute ornament. I need to make some of these now. I’ll have to get what I need so I can work on them.
This looks like something my Dad would make. He is into woodworking and makes the most rustic designs. with that being said, this is more my style with the colorful display. I will try to make this
That is gorgeous! What an original Christmas gift or decoration idea. I would have never thought of this. Thanks for sharing!
This is such a cute craft idea! I have a wood burning pen, so I’d probably burn names on them too and use them for gift tags. Great idea!
I love the way this turned out! I haven’t seen anything like this before, but I might try to make something similar.
These are beautiful! What a great idea. We actually have a bunch of wood slices that have been sitting in my basement for ages since I had no idea what to do with them.
I love this idea. We don’t have any trees that are down in my neighborhood at the moment. I’ll have to watch for a good limb next storm we have that knocks down tree branches.
These are really cute DIY ornaments. Perfect for my holiday baskets as well as our tree.
This is so cute! I wish I had some “craftiness” in me, but my hands won’t cooperate anymore. The joys of growing old.
Each year I make ornaments for a set of girlfriends (we have been doing this for over 20 yearss!!) and I am going to do these next year. I may go ahead and make them now! Nothing like being ahead of the game.
Oh my goodness. This is such a cute idea! I would love to try making this. Thanks for sharing.
