We bought our Halloween candy super early this year. And well, as it just so happens, very little of it has survived - definitely not enough to keep for Halloween night! So I decided I would take all the discarded mini Milky Way bars and turn them into something super yummy! I wanted to make cookies but just didn’t think they would be thick enough to really use the Milky Ways. Then J-Man suggested a cake. And while that sounded good, I was still craving the cookie taste. So, what did I do? I combined the best of both worlds to create cookie bars filled with Milky Way pieces and it turned out amazingly good! Here’s how you can make it too!
What You Will Need
2 Sticks of Butter
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup White Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
1 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
3 Cups of Flour
About 30 Mini Milky Ways (or whatever type of leftover candy you have)
How to Make Them
Start by softening your butter and creaming it together with you two different types of sugar. Then slowly beat in your eggs one at a time. Finally add your vanilla and blend well. Once all your wet ingredients have been added, mix in your baking powder and flour a little at a time to create the dough. It will be thick - very similar to cookies - by the time you are done.
Next, cut your mini Milky Way bars into fourths.
Gently fold your pieces of candy into your dough. Then transfer it into a 9 x 13 greased cooking dish. Using your hands, pat it down gently to make sure it’s even throughout the pan. Then bake for 28 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Once it’s done, remove your dish from the oven and allow it to cool.
Once your dish has had time to cool, cut your bars into squares and drizzle melted caramel over the top for a delicious finishing touch!
Enjoy!

Thank you so much. I now need to go get a bag my kids are going to love this. I added this to my pins. You final desert looks amazing.
Thanks for the Recipe this sounds awesome!
I’m thinking it should be baking soda, like in the ingredients list, and not baking powder like in the instructions…I’m hoping that’s right! We are really looking forward to eating these- they smell great so far. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
