Six Essentials Every Mom Needs in Her Handbag

As a busy mom, I basically live out of my purse most days. And while it can quickly turn into a catch all, I do try to clean it out weekly to ensure that I’m never caught out without the mommy essentials that I need for daily life.

So what are those things? Well this busy mom thinks that as long as you have six essential items in your handbag you can get through any situation. Let’s run through a quick inventory of them!

Hand Sanitizer: Let’s face it - as a mom you see your fair share of germs. Whether it’s while taking your kiddos to Chick-fil-a or simply when you’re out and about, having a small bottle of hand sanitizer in your handbag ensures that you can leave the germs where you found them instead of bringing them home to your family.

Tylenol: Every mom knows that headaches never attach when it convenient. They hit when you’re in the middle of a school event or at gymnastics class. So make sure you always have pain reliever on hand to ensure that you can keep going even when you’re not feeling your best!

Notebook and Pen: Now, I will admit that with the rise of the smartphone, this is becoming less important but it’s still a good idea to have a notebook and pen on hand for those moments when you need to jot down a grocery list, write a reminder of an appointment or scribble down that other mom’s phone number!

Cash: I will say that I am the WORST about never having cash but it is so essential. Just last week I found myself needing cash when the card reader at the store was out. While it was not a true emergency, having about $20 on hand in your purse ensures that when an emergency does hit, you’ve got the case you need on hand.

Breath mints/Gum: This is just a good idea for anyone! After all, you never know when you’re going to have to have an up close and personal conversation with someone and by having mints or gum on hand, you can ensure it’s a much more pleasant experience for you both!

Chapstick: Moms, don’t leave home without this one! No matter where you are going, chapstick is an essential. If you need to pull yourself together quick, adding a coat of chapstick to your lips can help. Otherwise it’s just a great way to keep your lips moist and healthy on the go!

    Budget Earth’s web site was down when I was trying to answer that one. Thank goodness I have seen these products on other websites. I have a set of Honest Kitchen free samples ordered. They sound like great products.I had rather use these around my grandchildren than harsh chemicals. I hope it was ok that I commented here. I tried Budget Earth several times and it just would not load.
