Since moving into our new home last year, one of the things we’ve enjoyed doing the most is getting together with friends and family for great food and amazing company. However, with the craziness of the summer, we haven’t had time to do this as often as we would like. Everyone has been traveling and long days at the pool have taken the place of parties on our porch. So, now that school is back in session I decided it was time to send out a few invites and put together an unforgettable Pancake and Waffle breakFEAST Party featuring delicious Hungry Jack products. Hungry Jack takes your pancakes and waffles to the next level, turning your breakfast into a breakFEAST the whole family will love and enjoy.
So, why a breakFEAST party you ask? Well, in my home nothing is better than breakfast….any time of the day. And when I was thinking of the best ways to celebrate school being back in session and friends and family being back together, I immediately knew that fluffy, moist pancakes and waffles were the perfect way to bring everyone together for a delicious afternoon. Armed with my idea for a toppings bar that would allow all my guests to enjoy the perfect breakFEAST, I got to work putting together my delicious spread. And after seeing what an amazing success it was (and how everyone wants to have a breakFEAST again very soon) I figured it was only fair for me to share the tips that helped make this delicious gathering a success!
Tip 1: Offer a Variety of Pancake and Waffle Batters
The first step of creating the perfect breakFEAST was deciding what to serve. Obviously, I knew the direction I wanted to go. And it quickly became clear that the easiest way to create amazingly delicious pancakes and waffles was by using Hungry Jack mixes.
With options like original for the adults, Funfetti filled for the kiddos and of course Belgium waffle mix for everyone, it was easy to offer a variety of options to ensure everyone at my breakFEAST party got exactly what they were looking for!
Even better, these easy to make mixes ensured that whipping up all the delicious dishes for my gathering was simple. By only adding water, eggs, milk and oil, I was able to achieve a homemade taste with mixes that made my preparation a snap! I didn’t feel stressed at all and each box of Hungry Jack pancake and waffle mix provided plenty of food for even all the hungry boys that always end up at my house. By choosing Hungry Jack mixes for my breakFEAST party, I was able to quickly prepare batters that impressed all my guests without spending the entire party in the kitchen! Total score, right?
Tip 2: Impress Your Guests with Made to Order Options
Speaking of impressing my guests…once I had all my Hungry Jack mixes whipped up, I decided to take things to the next level with made to order options for their pancakes and waffles (fancy, right?). In the past, I’ll admit that I’ve pre-cooked most of my party food in order to stay out of the kitchen and join in the fun. But with my breakFEAST party, I was able to mix things up a little bit and prepare custom orders for my guests while they watched. Since I recently received the Oster Griddle with Warming Tray and Stainless Steel Flip Waffle Maker, it was easy to turn my Hungry Jack batter into a delicious creation right before their eyes.
With non stick surfaces and the ability to cook up to 30% faster, my Oster appliances were easy to plug up outside so that I could be part of the party while still creating amazingly delicious dishes. The griddle’s large 10 x 20 cooking surface meant that I could cook plenty of pancakes and the warming tray ensured they stayed warm until my guests were ready to eat. But probably the star appliance of my pancake and waffle party was my Oster Stainless Steel Flip Waffle Maker.
I seriously couldn’t believe how easy it was to create custom made-to-order waffles using the waffle maker and since it’s non-stick surface eliminates the need for cooking sprays, turning my Hungry Jack batter into a custom creation was easier than I ever imagined.
Even the older kids were able to get in on the fun and create their own waffles, making my pancake and waffle party an interactive experience where everyone could make their own creation!
For the kids, this was the most fun part of the gathering and for the adults, it made things special to be able to whip up our own custom dishes right from the convenience of our porch.
Tip 3: Don’t Forget the Toppings
Once my pancakes and waffles were whipped up and ready to go, it was time to compliment them with the perfect toppings. Since I know that nothing is more fun for my guests than the ability to create their perfect dish, I decided that a topping bar was in order. By simply adding a variety of toppings like strawberries, blueberries, chocolate chips, nuts, sprinkles and fresh whipped cream, I was able to take my breakFEAST party to the next level.
While the toppings themselves were simple, the result was so much fun and all of my guests were thrilled that they were able to choose their own toppings to make their meal unforgettable!
But once they had topped their pancakes and waffles with all the delicious toppings, the final touch was making them truly amazing with delicious Hungry Jack syrup.
With a bottle that is uniquely designed to fit in the microwave and an easy to pour cap, there was no need to pour out these syrups before heating them up to serve and I was thrilled that even with little ones around, there was no mess at our breakFEAST party!
Instead, we were able to get the delicious taste of Hungry Jack in flavors like Butter, Original and Cinnamon and Brown Sugar in each and every bite with the flavorful syrup. I’ll admit that the syrup ran freely and I loved seeing the smiles that this sweetness brought to all of my guest’s faces!
For me, the topping and especially the finishing touch of warm and savory Hungry Jack syrup meant that every creation was a delicious success and every person at my party got to choose exactly how they wanted their breakFEAST served!
Tip 4: Allow Everyone to Create THEIR Perfect BreakFEAST
While for me it’s tempting to tell everyone exactly how to make their perfect pancake or waffle, the key to making this get together a huge success was letting everyone create their own breakFEAST.
That meant I didn’t need to plate or serve (yeah!). I didn’t need to worry about asking everyone what they wanted. Instead I was able to just sit back and watch everyone descend on the delicious breakFEAST fun!
And I have to say, the results couldn’t have been more rewarding. Everyone was thrilled with the ability to create their own breakFEAST and while I thought I had made enough food for an army, it quickly disappeared and was replaced by happy smiles and full bellies.
With very little preparation, my BreakFEAST party was a complete success! Never again will I spend hours cooking just so that I can serve up a meal that only half my guests like. Instead, I’ll be having a breakFEAST any chance I get! This gathering was the biggest success ever and at the end of it, everyone agreed that with a few simple toppings, a couple of great friends and the trusted taste of Hungry Jack mixes and syrup, our breakFEAST had been the perfect way to bring everyone together.
Are you ready to create your own pancake and waffle breakFEAST party? It’s easy! Simply use my tips above along with your own creativity and then grab your friends and family and plan a delicious celebration. To get started by sure to visit the Hungry Jack website or Facebook page for delicious inspiration. Then come up with your own creative way to make your next gathering a true breakFEAST
But wait! Before you head to the store and start your planning, I’m thrilled to have the chance to help make your party as much of a success as mine was! To do that, one very lucky reader will get a head start on creating the perfect breakFEAST with their very own Oster and Hungry Jack products! One winner will receive a 10 x 20 Griddle with Warming Tray and in addition to a Stainless Steel Flip Waffle Maker as well as an assortment of Hungry Jack products to make your very own breakFEAST party bar!
