With most holiday vacations starting in just a few shorts days, I’ve been thinking about how to make it an extra special time in my home. I feel like every year the school and work break seems to sneak up on me and I find myself totally unprepared to make the amazing memories that I’ve been looking forward to all year long. I always think that a full week of holiday fun will be more than enough but then it flies by and I can’t ever remember all of the activities that were on my to-do list, much less actually make them happen. So this year, I’m doing things differently. I’m being intentional about that magical week surrounding Christmas and I’m creating a Printable Holiday Bucket List to ensure that when the new year rolls around and the kids head back to school, we’ll have tons of memories to hold on to until next year.
So why a holiday bucket list you ask? Well, this time of the year gets a little crazy at our house. Between balancing all the kid’s activities and my own life, there are times when it seems like the holiday season slips by without us doing any of the things that we always anticipate. BUT, I’ve discovered that just like me, if my kids have a list to check off, they stay on task and more importantly keep me accountable for all the fun holiday fun we want to have. So, in order to ensure that we don’t miss a moment of the holiday fun we’ve created a printable holiday bucket list that pretty much covers every holiday activity our hearts desire!
Now I’ll admit that it’s an ambitious list. But in my mind, it’s an amazing way to make sure this Christmas break is the best one ever!
