Now that Christmas is over, I’m turning my creative efforts on to New Year’s Eve. That’s right party people…there’s still plenty of reason to celebrate this year and we’ve only got a week to get ready. While no holiday compares to Christmas in my mind, I do love the excitement of New Year’s Eve and the thought of a fresh start in the new year. While I’m admittedly busy coming up with my resolutions, I’m also working on ways to make my New Year’s Eve celebration unforgettable. Whether you’re celebrating with friends, ringing in the new year with family or simply having an early celebration before putting the littles to bed, be sure to follow our New Year’s Eve Confetti Cannon Tutorial with a free printable to make your evening extra fun!
What You Will Need
FREE New Years Confetti Canon Wrappers Printable
Confetti (you can use store bought of create your own by using a hole punch and construction paper)
Cardboard Toilet Paper Tubes
Glue
Scissors
Balloons
Duct Tape
Washi Tape
How to Make It
This is a fun craft that’s perfect for adult and kid parties alike and if you’re in the mood to get a little help, your little guys and gals will love lending their support on this fun craft. To start, print out those free printable confetti cannon wraps that I linked to earlier and cut them apart. Once you’ve printed how many you need and cut them all carefully, move on to your balloons. Cut the top of or each balloon and then tie a knot on the blowing end of the balloons.
Next, stretch the cut end of each balloon over one end of the cardboard tube and use a piece of your duct tape to secure it in place.
Once you’re balloon is secured, wrap one of your printed confetti cannon wraps around each tube, making sure that you line up the top of the printed wrap to the top of the tube. Use your glue to secure the printable in place and then use your washi tape to cover the seam where the printed wrap meets the balloon.
Now that your New Year’s Eve Confetti Cannon is assembled, all you need to do is fill each confetti cannon with confetti.
Ta-da! You’ve got the perfect way to make ringing in a new year exciting thanks to this fun New Year’s Eve Confetti Cannon Tutorial! Now all that’s left to do is celebrate! So, to use your confetti cannon, hold it firmly in one hand and with the other hand pull your balloon tight and release it. Your confetti will fly and no matter who you’re ringing in the New Year with, you will all be excited with how much fun this easy craft adds to your evening.
Now tell me, who will you be celebrating New Year’s Eve with?

How fun is this? I have to make ones for my boys for NYE next week. They will love these.
This would be a fun project to make for New Years. Going have to get going on the stuff if we want several to be made
Oh cool, my kids will want to make these. I’ll just have to make sure they let them off outside. I made the mistake of letting them let things off inside and never again. Granted, the cats liked batting around the stuff that came out.
Happy New Year!

These would be great to make with the kids for NYE! Thanks for sharing this.
These look like so much fun! And confetti is a fun addition to New Year’s. I have heard that confetti is in, glitter is out because it is much less environmentally friendly.
This is such a great project! I’m going to have to make these with my girls this year. They’ll love it.
