Are you ready for some football? Whether or not your team is still in the running to make it to the biggest game of the year, it’s easy to see that right now is all about game day….parties that is! Yes, you heard me right. No matter who you’re cheering for, this is THE time of the year to pull out all the stops and throw together the biggest, baddest, most delicious game day party around. Now, I fully understand that the pressure to plan the perfect party can feel huge but don’t let it make you fumble! Instead, check out our Football Game Day Party Tips below to ensure that your celebration will go down in the books as the real winner.
Any good football fan knows that game day is about two things; the big screen and the big snacks. I’ll be honest and say that I used to get so stressed about what to serve up at our game day gatherings. But this year I’ve done a few trial runs, perfected my food plays, and come up with some easy football game day party tips that make throwing the best game day bash as easy as 1-2-3!
1: Don’t Be Scared of Decorations
Truth: when it comes to your football game day party, these is no such thing as too much decor! You will of course want the football field tablecloth. But don’t stop there! If you happen to be one of the lucky ones whose team made it to the biggest game of the year, show your team spirit and their colors! If not, don’t worry because you can throw the perfect football game day party that wins big no matter who comes out on top. To start, add simple touches like football themed serving dishes and toothpicks.
Use fun signs and confetti to take a normal area and turn it into the hub for all your football loving fans! I personally recommend designating a spot that’s close to the TV so that your friends can snack while they enjoy the game. Simply choose an area (hopefully in close proximity to the TV) that will house all the delicious food and be sure to stick with a very fun football look so that the entire area for your gathering flows together perfectly.
Once you’ve set up your tablecloth and bowls and confetti and napkins and….well, you get the point…..it’s time for some fan favorite food!
2: Serve Up the Perfect Snack
Over my years of entertaining on game day, I’ve learned a thing or two when it comes to the food. At a football game day party, everyone wants to snack while they enjoy the game. They do want options but the item that always disappears first at my game day party is the crunchy MVF (most valuable food) of my game day celebration. So what is it you ask? Well, in the past it’s been a number of things but since I discovered new Cheez-It® Snap’d™ Double Cheese snacks, the starting line-up for my game day dishes has been set!
Not only are these crunchy little fan favorites super cheesy, but they are also super thin and crispy and made with real cheese inside and out! In other words they deliver BIG cheese flavor and turn up the cheese volume on all other snacks by having 100% real cheese baked into them AND sprinkled on the top. That means that my game day guests never call off sides when it comes to what I serve up. Instead they nosh the game away on the irresistible, crunchy, cheesy snap of Cheez-It Snap’d snacks!
While those of us enjoying the big game may disagree on who we want to come out on top, we never disagree on the taste of these crispy Cheez-It Snap’d snacks that are perfect for game day snacking. Seriously ya’ll, at a party, on the couch, or even at your curb-side tailgate, these are THE most delicious game day snack around! In fact, I’ve discovered that I need to serve them up in multiple bowls to ensure that penalty flags don’t go down due to me running out of everyone’s favorite new game day snack!
3: Let Your Snacking Go Into Overtime
While sadly, eventually the game will come to an end, I’ve learned to keep plenty of Cheez-It Snap’d snacks on hand so that the snacking doesn’t have to stop when the game does. Instead, I can simply refill my serving containers, set them back on the table and keep my football game day party going long after the final field goal has been kicked.
As a game day planner, I know that no matter how things turn out on the field, the pre-game, or the actual game, it’s just a warm-up for the post-game snacking fun that Cheez-It Snap’d snacks delivers!
Now that you know how easy it is to throw the perfect football game day party with my easy tips and several bags of new Cheez-It Snap’d snacks, are you ready to get started planning your celebration for the big game? If so, it’s time to head to Publix and pick up your Cheez-It Snap’d in the snack aisle! Just look for the can’t-miss colorful bag that promises cheesy, crunchy real cheese flavor in a SNAP!

Love your tips and your partyware. Since the Chiefs lost, I don’t think we will watch the game this year. I live in Saint Louis, and we are NOT fans of the Rams. Well, we love the players, just not the owners so much.
We love regular Cheez-Its! I think my kids and husband would love Cheez-It Snapd too. I’ll look for them at the store this week!
Can I be invited to this party!?! 😉 I love the decor and the snacks look fantastic. Yum!
