With summer officially arriving a little early in my home (this kids got out of school on Friday), I’m being able to enjoy a little bit more leisurely mornings which means that while breakfasts have been whatever I can grab and get out the door with, I now have time to eat the things that I actually want to. While I’ve never been a huge breakfast person, I do love smoothies and fruit but I prefer it in a bowl instead of a glass. If you’re ready to discover your new summer breakfast that is light, flavorful and totally delicious, read on to learn how to make my Very Berry Smoothie Bowl.
- 2 cups of Greek Yogurt
- 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
- ¾ cup of milk (can use almond)
- ¼ cup of honey
- ¼ cup of blueberries
- Strawberries, Bananas, Blueberries and Oats for topping
- Add the Greek yogurt, protein powder, almond milk, honey and blueberries to your blender.
- Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the smoothie into a bowl.
- Top it with sliced strawberries, blueberries, banana slices and oats.
- Enjoy!
This Very Berry Smoothie Bowl is so easy to make and it’s packed full of protein and fruit, making it a great way to start any day! To create it, I started my measuring out my Greek Yogurt, vanilla protein powder, milk (you can use regular or almond), honey and blueberries.
Then I simply added them to my blender and blended them together until they were smooth and creamy.
As soon as my smoothie was blended to perfection, I poured it into a bowl and topped it with slices of strawberries, pieces of banana, more blueberries and oats.
This fresh summer breakfast not only keeps me full all morning long but it’s totally worth getting out of bed for!
Tell me, when do your kids get out of school so that you can add this perfect breakfast to your summer morning routine?
