You guys, it’s hard to believe that we’re approaching the half way point of the school year. This year has been, well, different in my home. My youngest is in 3rd grade, which in our school means more homework, more responsibility and more time spent with his nose in the books. My oldest is a junior in high school (somebody hold me!) which means exams, papers and even (agh) college applications. To say that we’re spending quite a bit of time around the kitchen table focused on after school work would be a huge understatement. Knowing that afternoons Monday through Friday consist of books, pencils and calculators for my guys, I’ve been looking for simple snack ideas that they can grab when they walk in the door. I want things that the whole family can enjoy while we collectively make sure that everyone’s getting an A+ in every subject (even snacking) this year. So, how am I mastering simple after school snack ideas and making sure that my guys have the fuel to push through afternoon assignments and that I have the energy to help them check, recheck and submit the best work possible? I’m so glad you asked because I’ve simplified snacking in the most delicious way, while at the same time finding ways to create a snack time spread that help my boys do their best work with Snyder’s® of Hanover Pretzels!
With the age difference between my two guys, there’s an endless array of homework that comes across my kitchen table. On any given afternoon, we have reading books, math books, calculators, computers and more spread out on the table. Call me old fashioned if you want, but I really relish the boys both sitting down at the kitchen table together to complete their assignments. I’ll be the first to admit that we are creatures of habit, so homework is the very first thing that happens when they walk through the door in the afternoon. They hang up their book bags, pull out their assignments, stop by the pantry for a snack and head to the kitchen table for the written part of their assignments. As I’m sure all of you moms of boys know, no matter what homework they have to complete, their first thought is always on food and my job is to make sure they have a snack that is perfect for crunching on while they complete their assignments. Knowing that they are both going to be snacking while they work and that the hubs and I will be joining in as we help out where needed, it’s important to me to find a snack that’s tasty, easy to eat and comes in a size that can feed all of us. That’s why I always make sure to pick up Snyder’s of Hanover® Dipping Sticks Pretzels canisters when I’m shopping at Publix. Not only does this canister give us one of our favorite snacks ever (I mean who doesn’t love the crunch of pretzels?) but it serves it up in a size that’s large enough for sharing and powering through those homework filled afternoons. Even better, from now until 11/24/19 you can get Snyder’s® of Hanover Pretzel canisters for $5.99 at Publix! Click here to visit the Publix microsite for your digital coupon!
I’ll be honest, as soon as I saw these Snyder’s of Hanover® canisters, I knew they were the perfect addition to my simple after school snack ideas because with their bigger size and easy to screw on and off lid, they are perfect for home (or even the dorm when my oldest goes off to college or the office when the hubs needs a snack at work). In addition to their perfect-for-sharing packaging, Snyder’s of Hanover® Dipping Sticks Pretzels canisters feature the Snyder’s of Hanover® pretzels that my family already know and love in a container that’s bigger and better than ever.
Just like always, the Snyder’s of Hanover® Dipping Sticks are Non-GMO Project Verified and made in a peanut-free facility, meaning that it’s a snack I can feel great about serving up. This canister full of crunchy goodness is literally the first thing either of my boys reach for when they come in the door in the afternoon and it’s as essential of a part of their homework setup as pencils and notebook paper.
No matter when or how I serve up Snyder’s® of Hanover pretzels, the entire family is guaranteed a crunchy, satisfying snack that fuels homework time and keeps us all going strong. As they work away on that history paper that’s due the next day or complete a math worksheet with a look on concentration on their faces, they are both able to grab a handful and keep the rest fresh in the resealable container.
Even better, as the hubs and I check their work or offer assistance where we are able, we can also grab a handful and reward ourselves for providing a homework (and snacking) environment that makes after school assignments tasty in a whole new way.
Whether we’re working away indoors, taking homework outdoors (it is that time of year ya’ll!) or even taking our pretzels on the go, we love grabbing our container of Snyder’s® of Hanover Dipping Sticks and taking it along. That means that on really beautiful days when we can move part of our homework assignment outside, Snyder’s® of Hanover can come along to ensure that we’ve got everything we need to fuel our assignments with simple after school snacks that are always a hit.
While I know that in the coming years, my boys’ assignments will change and the location where they do their work will even change as they grow, explore and even go off to college, one thing that I have no doubt about is the fact that they will continue the tradition of snacking while they work with Snyder’s® of Hanover Dipping Sticks Pretzels canisters from Publix.
Now it’s your turn. Make homework time the crunchiest time of the day and find the simplest way around to connect, snack and enjoy with Snyder’s of Hanover® Pretzels! We love pretzels! It makes more sense to have a good-sized container of dipping sticks, as it seems we can never keep them on hand.
My son is always hungry and even though we give him extra for lunch he is starving when he gets home. I have to try those pretzels to keep him satisfied until dinner.
Yum, we have these in a house often. They are a tasty snack. My kids like dipping theirs in Ranch.

Finding healthy snacks for the kids after school can be hard, but also being able to change it up a bit.
My kids love dipping so these pretzel dipping sticks are perfect for their after school snacks. It’s so hard these days finding snacks without sugar so these are great!
My family likes this pretzel brand. I have not seen these pretzel dipping sticks in the store, though. They look like a neat snack!
I also like picturing kids sitting at the kitchen table with me doing arts, writing, homework, or just about anything. It’s a nice thing also to bond over food.
Kids and after-school snacks go together like peanut butter and jelly. These pretzels look yummy and the type that kids will go wild over while doing their homework.
This is such a healthier option than chips and they are delicious to boot. I like to have PB on hand to add some protein.
These would be a pretty perfect snack for sure! I would want to make home made hummus!
This is such a great snack idea. I have to make sure to add this to my grocery list.

These dipping dip pretzels are our favorite too! They are good with everything!
Pretzels are the best! Your recommendations of snacks are very helpful, especially whens studying.
Why did I never think of this for a snack! My kids are always wanting something right after school, and I prefer them to not have candy. Such a great idea
We love those as snacks, they are so good with dipping sauces and also by themselves. We take them on road trips too
