The hubs and I both spend quite a bit of time online. In fact, he and I have gotten into the habit of sitting together and checking our emails, surfing Facebook and catching up on the news. While I know it’s not that “connected” time we need, it is so nice to be in the same place at the same time while we catch up on the online world. But there has been a problem. While I have a tablet, he has been using his phone. And more than once I’ve looked over to see him squinting at the screen and I’ve felt kind of bad. As soon as it arrived, I pulled it out of the box and checked it out. It was sleek and compact and fit perfectly into my hands, ensuring me that it would be a great size for his online time.
Then my question became would it perform the way he needed it to - with quick response time and the ability to connect to all of his programs. Since I had not told him it was coming, I charged it up and got ready to surprise him when he got home. After a long day of work, as we both sat down on the couch to catch up on emails, I pulled it out and offered it to him. At first he was reluctant, saying that his phone was just fine.

Once he powered it up, I instantly knew he was sold! Since it is a Windows based tablet, he was able to sign in with Microsoft Live and instantly had access to his emails, his settings and his favorite programs. Within seconds he was completely connected and enjoying the ease of browsing on a much bigger screen!
But the screen size was not the only benefit to his new tablet! He also had access to Windows 8.1 Operating System, a Quad-Core Intel Atom Process with 1 GB of memory and 16 GB of internal storage! What did that mean? Well my tech savvy hubby told me it meant he had the power to do all the things he wanted to online with the easy of a tablet!
With Bluetooth and WiFi options and a front Webcam and back camera, the Nextbook Tablet instantly became his favorite way to browse and stay connected. He loved the easy responsiveness of the touch screen and the fact that his setting and favorites were remembered from his Windows Live account. I could see in his eyes that his opinion had definitely changed!
As I watched him browse with ease, I was a little jealous myself. Because his new, shiny tablet had so many things mine didn’t. With access to Office 365 and OneDrive, he could now connect easier and do more than I could. In fact, I started to rethink my decision to share with him.
